MY GRADUATION PROJECT

Regarding this plan, I reviewed my plan again and reviewed the topic that I had set at the beginning to promote metal music. But later I found that there may be slight differences between the themes of my songs. Metal music and rock music have always given people the feeling of anger, so I hope that through the songs, people’s dissatisfaction can be expressed, So this is the concept of my song.

In the plan, I once planned to make music with my seniors from school. This I succeeded in practice. ‘I’m So Confused’ This song was made by the seniors of the school, Daniel, in charge of the vocal part. He was the senior of HKDI last year.

I once mentioned that there are many negative energies in society. I hope that through my song, everyone's negative emotions can be expressed. Because I have learned a lot of music production skills and knowledge in this course, I hope I can learn and use them and give back to society. Therefore, I also add some foul language in my songs to express people’s dissatisfaction with society.

I once mentioned in the plan that I hope that 500 people would have listened to my music, and then I started a questionnaire survey to collect opinions from them. Slowly I found that this plan was not feasible, because I may not be able to reach so many people. As I said at the beginning, the goal of my current plan is to express people’s dissatisfaction with society through songs.

The biggest difficulty encountered in this plan is to manage a lot of tracks when mixing, and to do the work and steps very carefully, otherwise, it will be messed up.During this period, I watched a lot of instructional videos on youtube, learned how to mixing a song , also knows how to manage my projects , and I really benefited a lot.

Secondly, another difficulty I encountered in making this music project is how to actually display the knowledge learned from the books in my work, such as some recording skills, microphone placement and recording methods, etc. These are few opportunities to practice. Therefore, when carrying out this project, it is necessary to bravely experiment and verify in many ways to finally achieve the results you want. This is the second difficulty.

The third difficulty is how to arrange your work schedule properly. Because there are many projects to be completed in this plan, you need to arrange your own time reasonably and properly to complete the work, such as identifying candidates to record songs and arranging time for recording. For the vocal part, we must discuss the details of the music later, and then the mixing and music production part. All these must be properly allocated time to fully complete the work before the deadline. Of course, there is no lack of important communication skills, including communication with singers and the singing of songs. This is the third difficulty. After this time, I feel that I have grown a lot.

Finally, I am very happy that I have met a lot of friends and teachers during the two-year course. Everyone is a music lover. Then I learned a lot of useful music making skills in the course. I also fully used the production skills learned before in this project, I really benefited a lot. Thank you very much.
